The Barclays Building forms the east side of the proposed public space at the entrance of the North Street Scheme (More Details here)   The developers have discussed the relationship[ between the revised building and the North Street Scheme - St Edward team have broadly agreed with the proposed planning application.

The new commercial unit on the ground floor facing onto the Woodbridge Road elevation of the site, is intended to be a new café.  This will ultimately provide a welcoming publicly accessible facility / landmark at the corner of North Street at the new gateway entrance to the North Street regeneration scheme.
