Currently in its 19th year, Walkfest is a community initiative organised by volunteers that brings together multiple groups to encourage walking, learning, and participation.
The month-long event aims to engage individuals of all ages and abilities in activities within the town and the surrounding countryside.
Walkfest offers a range of options, from brief educational walks to longer treks, accommodating a variety of preferences. A walk is scheduled for almost every day during the month.
