The homes are planned for a piece of land between Hog’s Back and Poyle Road which is next to the Hogs Back Brewery.
The outline of the proposal that have been released so far can be found here.
A partial relocation of the existing Hop Garden would be rquired with the compensation being provided as a new extension to the south of the existing garden.
To try and combat surface water flooding Taylor Wimpey is suggesting creating a new system to manage rainwater runoff on-site, It believes this would have the knock-on effect of reducing downstream surface water flooding that happens in Tongham.
The existing ponds at the centre of the site would be protected throughout the development as well as the existing boundary hedges. New planting is proposed throughout the development area.
