Guildford Local Plan - Development Management Policies

The Council has adopted the 'Local Plan: strategy and sites 2015-2034'. This sets out the vision, aims and strategy for the borough up to 2034. The document contains key facts about our borough, the spatial vision, strategic objectives, overarching planning policies and allocates land for housing, employment, community facilities and other types of development. This was adopted in April 2019

After consultation in 2020 a second part of the Local Plan, the Local Plan: Development Management Policies which provides further and more detailed planning policies to use when planning applications are determined has now been published for final consultation (See Link Below).

The Society contributed to the 2020 consultation and all consultation commentsw are available are available on the GBC Website and have aided the development of the proposed submission version of the 'Local Plan: Development Management Policies'.

The Society will be reviewing the finalised DMP and commenting by the close of consultation date.

The consultation closes on 12:00 midday on 18 February 2022
