‘A new Approach to Housing Design’ - 2026 Architecture Lecture Video
David Mikhail founding partner of Mikhail Riches gave a fascinating and thought provoking lecture on the 21st October detailing the evolution of design principles employed the practice over several decades. The practice has been involved in many schemes and David Mikhail selected a few to demonstrate ‘A new Approach to Housing Design’.
Mikhail Riches most famous scheme in Goldsmith Street Norwich a winner of the RIBA Stirling Prize. This scheme built on experience gained on a scheme in East Anglia and has subsequently informed development underway in York and for a very ininovative developer GS8.
Finally as a contract David discussed the work undertaken to refurbish the Park estate in Sheffield where the challenge was to refresh and revitalise part of a Grade 1 Listed Flat development.
The Video of the lecture can be now viewed here
