Notice of 85th Annual General Meeting of The Guildford Society

04 October 2020

By Zoom Video Conference

The 2020 Annual General Meeting of the members of the Guildford Society will be held on Tuesday 6th October at 19.00 for 19.15 start

The Covid 19 social distancing requirements and a limitation on numbers permitted to attend public gatherings have made it increasingly difficult to hold face-to-face meetings such as the Society’s AGM. We therefore announce our intention to hold the 85th AGM virtually.

This decision was undertaken to demonstrate good governance of the charity.

The appropriate digital links to partake in the meeting will be sent out in advance to our members via email together with instructions on how to join the meeting – you can join by Smart Phone, Tablet, or PC.

Agenda
       1.  Apologies for absence
       2.  Minutes of the AGM held 5th June 2019
       3.  Matters arising
       4.  Chairman's and Vice-Chairmen's reports
       5.  Honorary Treasurer's report
       6.  Election of Trustees
       7.  Any other business

Help us make Guildford better

We want our town to be vibrant, attractive and liveable. We support development that brings a sense of place and enhances the best aspects of our town. If such aims can be embraced, we believe Guildford has the chance to lead the way in enabling sensitive and sustainable development.

Pressures for development are increasing. Planning rules are being eased. The Society’s commitment to standing up for Guildford is needed more than ever.

Support Us

Getting involved allows the society to continue its work.   We welcome new members, from every age and background.  Membership provides an opportunity for you to contribute to the continued health of the town and surrounding area, and to meet other people who care about Guildford.
