Talks and Events Programme 

The Social and Membership Group are responsible for co-ordinating the Society's programme of talks, public meetings, visits and other events.

Programme changes may arise from time to time or we may plan additional events.

Updated information will be posted on our website or notified to members by email, text or social media links.

Non-members are welcome to attend our Open Meetings unless otherwise stated. 
There is no charge to attend but donations will be gratefully received


The Guildford Society's Town Bridge Market

Held annually since 1973 for the benefit of small traders and to raise funds for the Guildford Society. The Town Bridge provides direct pedestrian access to & from Debenhams and Guildford High Street shops from a car park and residential areas to the west. It is located at the bottom of High Street next to Debenhams and St Nicholas church.

The remaining market dates through to the end of 2017 are shown below and also for the first half of 2018. 

All dates maybe subject to change.

  • December 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 9th,, 10th, 15th, 16th, 17th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th.

Talk Programme, Public Meetings, and Events

From January 2018. onwards, the Society regretfully has to reduce the frequency of its social talks programme. We shall announce talks on an ad-hoc basis both via this website and to those who are signed up to our digital news bulletins.  


Please check the timings and watch this space for updates.


Public Meetings concerning key local issues will remain as evening meetings as will the Society members AGM.


Non members are welcome at our open or public meetings at no charge, although donations are always gratefully received.
