Surrey Hill National Lanscape (Previously the Surrey Hills Area of Outstsing National Beauty (AONB)) has lauched a guide of walks in the North Downs accessible via the Rail Network and in some cases by the bus network.
Leaving the car at home does have benefits in aiding one way walks and possible issues with parking.

An issue with the walks is the level of service on the North Downs Line. Some of the smaller stations on the line have 2HR gaps between trains so be careful on timing. Sunday also has a slimmed down service compared to rest of the week.
