The final version for approval of the Greenbelt Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD) has now been published. The SPD does not create new policy rather expands on and gives guidance in relation to the Policy P2 in the Local Plan: strategy and sites 2015-2034.
If adopted, the SPD will become a consideration in planning decisions. GBC have developed the SPD to help applicants and decision makers in the submission and determination of planning applications. The SPD is focused on providing clarity and providing a framework for consistent decisions.
The SPD contains a useful Decision tree as to how infill planning applications are subject to Greenbelt policies.
